Unifying All Players in the Health Data Exchange Continuum

Today’s health data exchange continuum can get very complicated due to all of the players involved. Providers, hospitals, and post-acute care facilities are all trying to connect with payers, HIEs, public repositories and other facilities.

Making these critical connections would be easy if everyone used the same system, but, unfortunately, they don’t. Different facilities use different EHR vendors, and the HIEs and repositories use a number of different protocols. In addition, one EHR may be able to connect to some, but not all systems.

To further add to the complications, each system has many different ways they can exchange with others. These can include everything from Direct to EDI X12, XCA, SFTP, and XDS.b and HL7 X2. Overall, these make the demands of health data exchange nearly impossible to meet.

Thanks to the RosettaHealth platform, it is possible to use one connection to talk to many destinations – no matter the protocol. For example, RosettaHealth’s HealthBus engine can transform data, transport protocol, or direct routing based on your specific requirements.

RosettaHealth’s HealthBus Essentials solution also allows users to quickly connect their systems and get data flowing. Customers receive common clinical HL7 V2 information in a standardized data structure via a REST API. There is no hosted software that requires internal staff and resources to manage, and is half the cost of competitive solutions.

HealthBus Essentials can also be extended to any use case for health data exchange, including Event Notification, Referral Management, Fetching Images, Analytics, Query and Retrieve, Provide and Register.

While it was once considered complicated, it is now possible to be connected to all of the relevant players in the health data exchange ecosystem, and bring data interoperability capabilities into the forefront of care.
