HASA HIE Joins eHealth Exchange Through Use of RosettaHealth Platform
Texas-Based HIE Leveraging Multi-Tenant, Cloud-Based Health Data Exchange Platform from RosettaHealth
Washington, D.C. (July 15, 2020) – Healthcare Access San Antonio (HASA), the non-profit, community HIE for North, South and West Texas, recently announced that it has joined eHealth Exchange, the oldest and largest nationwide health information network connecting the public and private sectors.
HASA is now able to share electronic healthcare information with participants in the nationwide eHealth Exchange network, including the Social Security Administration (SSA), the Veterans Health Administration (VHA), and other states.
The HIE also leveraged RosettaHealth’s multi-tenant health data exchange platform to enable it to join eHealth Exchange. The RosettaHealth HealthBus platform simplifies moving, transforming, and managing electronic health records while reducing costs by 50 percent.
“This major milestone allows healthcare providers in Texas to exchange information electronically with federal organizations and other participants in the eHealth Exchange community,” said Phil Beckett, CEO of HASA. “Ultimately, this help to improve overall care outcomes for patients in our region through advanced health data exchange.”
The eHealth Exchange network, which is working in 75 percent of all US hospitals, is leveraged by more than 30 electronic health record (EHR) technologies and 61 regional or state health information exchanges (HIEs). Three federal agencies (Department of Defense, Department of Veteran Affairs, and Social Security Administration) participate in the network to share patient information with private sector partners as well as other agencies.
