HASA HIE Changes Name to C3HIE: Connected, Collaborative, Community

Civitas and the Patient Centered Data Home (PCDH) Governance Council also selects Velatura Public Benefit Corporation as a tech solution partner

During last week’s Civitas Networks for Health 2022 Annual Conference, there was no shortage of news in the health data exchange and data interoperability arena.

One piece of news that we would like to further shine a light on is from HASA. The non-profit, community HIE in Texas announced that it has changed its name and brand identity to C3HIE to reflect its new vision of helping the healthcare community become more connected and collaborative.

Based around the themes of “Connected, Collaborative and Community,” C3HIE’s new mission is to bring these three elements to life by delivering the right data at the right time to care teams, regardless of geography or provider type, into their workflows – from one secure, trusted source.

In addition to the rebranding, C3HIE now provides HIE solutions in over 128 counties in the state of Texas with 70 hospitals and over 3,000 physicians, as well as with physicians in California, Delaware, and Florida.

In other news from the conference, Civitas Networks for Health and the Patient Centered Data Home (PCDH) Governance Council announced that they have selected Velatura Public Benefit Corporation as the national technology solution partner to support the PCDH initiative.

PCDH is a major collaboration of 45+ health information exchanges delivering critical alerts to providers for millions of clinical encounters each month. The continued growth of PCDH will further advance important regional and nationwide interoperability progress.

Last year, we hosted a two-part podcast series with leaders of the Velatura Public Benefit Corporation, as an open forum discussion about key health data exchange trends, to discuss how the organization collaborates amongst its subsidiaries, and much more. Listen to part one here, and part two here.
