Nitor Group Executives to Speak at Public Health Informatics Conference

Nitor Group's CEO, Buff Colchagoff  will be presenting a learning session in the areas of Health Information Exchange and Interoperability at the Public Health Informatics Conference Atlanta, Georgia, August 21-24, 2016. Buff will present and discuss on the theme of 'Creating a National Messaging Capability for NHSN Submissions Utilizing Direct' on August 23, 2016,  1:30 PM – 2:30 PM. In brief, CDC's National Healthcare Safety Network's (NHSN) national user base requested a secure, automated way to electronically submit their Healthcare Associated Infection (HAI) data to NHSN via the Internet. The solution? NHSN Direct: a "self-service" application using HHS's Direct encrypted email protocol. 

The conference is in collaboration between the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Since 2003, the conference has provided a premier venue for groundbreaking discussions and opportunities to address the science of public health informatics, evolving public health systems, and public health’s role in expanding the nation's health information technology (IT) infrastructure.
